Area Lawmakers, Korean Community Leaders to Highlight State Grant Allowing Construction of Peace Park to Move Forward
EXTON – Representative Becky Corbin (R-East Brandywine) today announced she is hosting an opioid epidemic awareness presentation with Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan.

“To Live and Die in Chester County – The Opioid Crisis: How We Got Here, Where We Are, and Where We Are Going” will be held on Wednesday, October 17, at 7 p.m., at the East Pikeland Township Building, 1158 Rapps Dam Road, Phoenixville.

“This event is geared toward everyone as the opioid crisis touches all ages, genders and socioeconomic statuses,” Corbin said. “I’m hopeful each attendee gains valuable information to use to help someone who is addicted or prevent someone from becoming hooked on opioids. We will solve this crisis only if we work together as a community. This is not someone else’s problem.”

The evening will include information about how the opioid crisis emerged, unique regional issues and the demand for drugs. In addition, the presentation will contain information on how various entities are working to address this crisis in Chester County. The audience will be invited to role play and participate in a question-and-answer segment.

The 155th District consists of the following municipalities: West Brandywine, East Brandywine, Uwchlan, Upper Uwchlan, West Vincent, East Pikeland, Spring City, and part of Phoenixville.
